Recently, the podcast, Silver Linings for Learning, hosted by Drs. Chris Dede, Curt Bonk, Yong Zhao, Lydia Cao, and Punya Mishra, celebrated its 200th episode with a two-part series of interviews on the future of education. In episode 200, the team featured established leaders in the field of education whose long view of the field prompted thoughtful insights on the future of education. Episode 201 featured emerging scholars with diverse perspectives on the futures of education. I was delighted to be included as part of that conversation, along with guests Merve Basdogan, Seyedahmad Rahimi, and Priyank Sharma.

With the hosts, we considered questions around how technology might shape the classrooms of tomorrow; what new approaches to teaching and learning are on the horizon; and how we can work toward more equitable and inclusive educational futures. As ever, the hosts were warm, insightful, and asked incisive questions that prompted thoughtful conversation. The guests’ approaches to pedagogy, assessment, and technology offered diversity of perspective which offered hopeful visions for the futures of education.
